Policy & Guidelines Committee

The BIHS Policy and Guidelines Committee exists to shape the Society’s influence in clinical practice and health policy, by developing authoritative, evidence-based guidance and engaging strategically with decision-makers and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

Developing high-quality guidance for healthcare professionals
Reviewing evidence and contributing to national policy consultations
Ensuring regular updates to maintain clinical accuracy and relevance
To provide resources for health care professionals about hypertension
To develop a strategy and to manage and support the Information Service to ensure that it delivers on the above
