Standing Committees
Our four Standing Committees play a pivotal role in driving our mission forward, each dedicated to a key aspect of our work, they work collaboratively, aligning their efforts to drive our mission forward and create a meaningful impact. Together, these committees create a cohesive and unified approach to promoting awareness, combating hypertension and improving health outcomes. Members of the Executive sit on each of the committees to ensure alignment with the core strategy of the BIHS and feeds back to the other members of the Executive Committee throughout the year.

Special Interest Groups
In addition to the four core committees, our work is further enriched by two special interest groups: the Early Career Researchers Group and the Clinical Practitioners Group. The Early Career Researchers Group, a sub group of the education committee, provides a platform for emerging scientists to collaborate, share ideas, and gain mentorship as they contribute to advancing knowledge in hypertension research. The Clinical Practitioners Group, a sub group of the research committee, focuses on bridging the gap between research and practice, ensuring that the latest findings are effectively translated into patient care. These groups complement the efforts of our committees, fostering innovation and practical application in the fight against hypertension.
