ESH Summer School Applications

6-11 September 2026, near Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Applications are invited from BIHS members to attend the annual ESH Summer School.  The BIHS will cover the economy travel costs of up to two candidates from the UK or Republic of Ireland to the venue. The ESH will cover the costs of accommodation and meals. Places are limited, and acceptance of both of our nominations is not guaranteed. The final decision rests with the ESH.

Please note the ESH Summer School is a once-in-a-lifetime event, which means each participant can attend the course only once in his/her life.  Although there is no specific age limit, preference will be given to candidates who are strongly committed to hypertension.

Sunday 6 September, 2026

Arrival + Start of school program in the afternoon (from 3:30 PM CEST on)

Monday 7 September -Thursday 10 September, 2026

Full day school program incl. dinners

Students will receive their certificates of participation during Thursday's dinner. A group photo will also be taken on this occasion.

Friday 11 September 11 2026

ESH Summer Schools 

If you wish to be considered as the BIHS nominee, please send the following details by e-mail to info@bihs.org.uk no later than 5pm on Monday 16 March 2026:

• Current CV in English and including a valid email address (incl academic degrees, professional position, date of birth and a list of publications)

• Your main topic of interest.

• A short description (max 300 words) of why you would be a strong candidate for BIHS to nominate for the ESH Summer School

Please do NOT send your CV directly to the ESH as all applications have to be reviewed and submitted by the BIHS.
