Cardiovascular disease: new ways to detect risk and improve outcomes
Cardiovascular disease accounts for around 1 in 4 deaths in the UK. Identifying an individual’s risk allows preventative measures, such as changes in lifestyle or taking medicines, to reduce risk and improve health outcomes. Assessments of cardiovascular risk are already part of routine care, but more can be done to optimise this for the future.
Presented by expert researchers in the field, we will be covering research on 3 promising new ways to identify people at risk of heart and circulation problems:
· a heart disease calculator
· an AI-enabled ECG
· AI analysis of heart scans.
Presentations will be followed by a Q&A session.
