Who Should Apply
Doctors who have not yet completed their specialist training and consultant physicians who can demonstrate a strong interest in hypertension and wish to further develop their expertise in this field.

We invite you to join us to develop your knowledge, advocacy skills and confidence to transform the care of people living with high blood pressure in your community.
About the Course
- The 2026 Emerging Hypertension Leaders Summer School is an intensive three-day residential clinical education programme, taking place from 3-5 August 2026 at Trinity Hall, Cambridge, UK.
- Sessions will be led by international experts in hypertension management and cardiovascular disease prevention.
- Core topics include global challenges in hypertension management; pathophysiology; treatment strategies; management of hypertension in special situations including among younger people, during pregnancy, resistant hypertension, secondary hypertension and hypertensive crisis; how emerging technologies are changing the delivery of hypertension care.
- Workshops will focus on practical communication skills with an emphasis on strategies to influence policymakers.
- The course combines lectures, case presentations, workshops and expert-led discussions and is designed to promote active interaction between delegates and faculty.
- Delegates will be encouraged to join our International Community of Practice for continued collaboration and knowledge exchange after the course.
Expenses
- All summer school costs, including course fees, meals, and bed-and-breakfast accommodation at Trinity Hall, Cambridge, UK in single-room student accommodation (shared bathrooms), are fully covered by the Summer School.
- Travel costs to and from Trinity Hall are the responsibility of the delegate.
- A limited number of travel grants are available and will be considered on an individual basis where delegates experience financial difficulties.

Applicants will be asked to provide:
- Name and contact details
- A personal statement describing their current role and responsibilities and how they will personally benefit from attending this three-day residential hypertension summer school.
