BIHS Case Study Submission Guidance for Authors
BIHS invites the submission of clinically relevant case studies that highlight diagnostic challenges or innovative management strategies in hypertension. We also strongly encourage submissions from AHPs showcasing examples of service transformation and implementation in hypertension, particularly where these strengthen links between primary and secondary care and demonstrate innovative planning and delivery of care.
Scope and Eligibility
We welcome case studies and service-focused submissions addressing, but not limited to:
- Diagnostic challenges in hypertension
- Monogenic causes of hypertension
- Hypertension in specific populations (e.g. young adults, pregnancy, ethnicity-related considerations)
- Innovative management strategies or treatment pathways
- Service transformation initiatives (e.g. virtual clinics, community diagnostics, pharmacist- or nurse-led models)
- Examples improving integration between primary and secondary care
Submissions are welcomed from consultants, trainees, nurses, pharmacists, and other allied healthcare professionals working in hypertension care.
Ethical Considerations
- All identifiable hospital/trust details and author names will be blinded to the judges
- submissions will be fully anonymised.
